On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran has his biggest Buffalo Bills Week 15 takeaways on the heels of an absolutely wild 48-42 victory on the road over the Detroit Lions that has the Bills feeling really good about being 11-3 going into the final three weeks.

Unlike last week in Los Angeles where Buffalo’s offense was in desperation mode trying to catch up and in the game late, Buffalo dominated on both sides of the ball early to jump out to a two touchdown lead and never looked back, despite Detroit’s resiliency throughout the second half. Patrick starts by giving a lot of credit to head coach Sean McDermott and his coaching staff—it was obvious from the first snap of the game that this team came to Motown prepared to play and ready to fight. The defense showed grit in allowing Buffalo to stake an early two score lead and offensively Joe Brady had the Lions defense in guess mode throughout.

As for Josh Allen, Patrick struggles to even put in words how special this 2024 season has turned into for him. You can’t find an outlet anywhere at this point that doesn’t think Allen isn’t the MVP of the league and Patrick takes it one step further, saying he may be the most physically gifted football player at his position in the history of the game. Removing all the stats and accolades away Patrick hammers home how important it is for Bills fans to just sit back and enjoy being able to watch someone like Josh play every Sunday, it’s not something to take for granted.

Patrick also talks about a Bills defense that obviously struggled but did enough to win and more specifically, Ed Oliver having one of the best games of his entire career a week after being called out all over the place, including this podcast. Also, should Dorian Williams being getting more snaps, even if it comes at the expense of Matt Milano?

That plus Tyler Bass pisses us off again, Dawson Knox comes through bit, Kaiir Elam fills in admirably and tons more.

Major props to Talking Buffalo sponsor, Sonny Red’s at 1841 Abbott Road in Lackawanna, just minutes from Highmark Stadium. We consider them THE most underrated spot for wings, pizza and other great food in Western New York plus it’s a great place to drink and have a great time.
