Happy Birthday to legendary movie refer addict Tommy Chong, who turns 78 today. Holy shit, I can’t believe that dude is 78 years old. Chong, along with Cheech Martin made being a pothead cool to many in several movies and comedy albums over the 1970’s and 80s. Among their best were “Up In Smoke” (1978), “Things Are Tough All Over” (1982) and “Still Smoking” (1983). My parents tried—unsuccessfully to shield me from Cheech & Chong as a kid. Sorry, mom.
