On this episode of Talking Buffalo Podcast, Patrick Moran is joined by Joe Yerdon, who after more than a year of doing the podcast every Friday makes his Tuesday debut to talk about the Buffalo Bills blowout win over Pittsburgh and a preview of the Buffalo Sabres season that starts on Thursday night.
The Bills used a big play offense and dominant defense to completely dismantle the Steelers in Kenny Picket’s first NFL start at quarterback. Patrick and Joe discuss some of the bigger takeaways from the game including the impact a healthy Gabe Davis has on the offense, Khalil Shakir and James Cook looking impressive, Von Miller being as good as advertised and one area of concern the Bills may presently have on the field leading up to Sunday’s big game in Kansas City.
On the Sabres side the guys discuss Kyle Okposo being named captain, Alex Tuch not being named an alternate captain, Jack Quinn and JJ Peterka both making the opening night roster, Joe’s thoughts on the forward line pairings and his outlook for the 2022-23 season.
Before diving into the sports talk Patrick talks about a successful cancer benefit that took place over the weekend thrown for one of his best friends and thanks some people and businesses that helped make it a success.
