On this episode of Talking Buffalo Podcast, Patrick Moran is joined by friend and recurring guest Aaron Quinn from Cover 1 for the last in a five-week series consisting of full seven-round Buffalo Bills mock drafts. As always, The Draft Network simulates picks for the other 31 teams in the league, leaving Aaron and Patrick to select for the Bills in real-time without knowing who’ll be available beforehand.
For this draft, their final one together they decide to try and make it feel as realistic as possible instead of something fans would automatically endear more. Therefore there’s guys over the first few rounds that were available during the actual real time draft the guys felt was in reality far fetched and therefore didn’t take. In part as a result they end up taking an offensive lineman for the first time with the first pick and a guy in the second they’d previous nabbed in the third in all four previous mocks.
Before the final mock the guys do together, they spend time on if any of their previous early picks feel realistic at this point, Patrick thinking running back is more likely to get addressed early than wide receiver, a guys they’ve and maybe a lot of fans have been sleeping on, Patrick’s binge-watching watch of MCU flicks, crappy Buffalo weather and more.
