It’s Casual Friday on Talking Buffalo Podcast, which means Patrick Moran is joined by Noted Hockey author and Maintenance Day podcaster Joe Yerdon to discuss the NFL Draft, Von Miller’s candid words, the Buffalo Sabres still having a realistic chance at landing Shane Wright and their weekly “Starting Five” draft of famous people featuring the first name Chris.

The NFL draft is a week away and the guys admit they’re no closer to having an idea of what Bills general manager Brandon Beane will do with the first pick than they were two months ago. The guys talk about a handful of positions that make the most sense to them even if they’re not immediate needs before spending a few minutes discussing Von Miller openly saying he’s still a little surprised he chose Buffalo over Los Angeles.

Also, the Sabres are fun to watch again and have improved in the standings but that said, still currently sit 25th in the league with the 8th-best chance to win the NHL draft lottery.  Pat and Joe imagine them winning it and landing Shane Wright while pointing out with or without him the expectations for next season are going to grow far more than they were this season.  That, plus their draft of the famous guys named Chris and much more!
