It’s Casual Friday at Talking Buffalo Podcast and Patrick Moran is joined by sports writer and friend Joe Yerdon to discuss several topics, including big changes likely coming with the Buffalo Sabres organization this summer and their weekly “Starting Five” draft, this week consisting of the best fictional sports movie characters.
It’s possible if not likely the Sabres will ultimately lift the interim tag and promote Don Granato to head coach soon enough, but it’s hardly expected to be the biggest Sabres news coming down the pike this summer. The chances of Jack Eichel remaining with Buffalo appear more bleak than ever, and Joe discusses an article he wrote on it earlier this week and explains why he thinks Eichel’s departure is imminent and it’s time for the organization to make the best out of losing their best player. They also discuss the strong probability of Sam Reinhart being gone and how convincing Reinhart Buffalo’s worth sticking around for would be the best thing Buffalo could accomplish this offseason.
