On this week’s episode of the Moran-Alytics Podcast, Patrick Moran interviews Jay Skurski, who covers the Buffalo Bills for The Buffalo News and is a 2017 Associated Press Sports Editors award-winner as one of the 10 best sports beat reporters in the country for newspaper circulations of 75,000-150,000. Jay provides insight on what the Bills have done so far this offseason and when pressed for a 2018 bold prediction offers one that may shock you. The two also discuss NFL on-goings and a little bit of Jay’s personal life, including the story of how he met his Buffalo WGRZ-TV morning co-anchor wife, Melissa Holmes.
Before that Tone Pucks (@tonepucks) joins for their weekly “Pat With Pucks” segment and the two discuss how the New York Jets trade to move up to number-three in the NFL draft may have screwed the Bills over. Pucks defends his nosedived quarterback take from the week before, offers up a bit a NCAA hoops talk and has thoughts on Evander Kane after scoring four goals for San Jose.
The episode wraps with its weekly podcast awards: MVP to the mack daddy of NBA insiders and LVP to arguably the biggest idiot in the sports media, albeit a very rich idiot.
Beginning next week the Moran-Alytics Podcast will be published twice-weekly, with an additional show dropping every Thursday.
