In this episode of the Moran-Alytics Podcast Patrick Moran interviews Greg Gabriel, a 30-year veteran of NFL scouting, including nine as the Director of Scouting for the Chicago Bears after previously spending 17 years in the New York Giants scouting department.
Greg gives listeners a straight-up education on the quarterbacks in this year’s NFL draft class, a crop he considers wildly overrated. Greg ranks the perceived “big four” quarterbacks and gives his insight on each. He does the sing the praises of a quarterback few are talking about as a first-round pick and indicates that guy could actually end up being a top 10 pick.
Greg also breaks down a pair of non-quarterbacks that could be a great fit for the Buffalo Bills and being a Western New York native, also talks about growing up in the area.
After that Tone Pucks (@tonepucks) jumps on for their weekly “Pat With Pucks” chat, where the two discuss how much Bills fans and the media apparently overvalued Preston Brown and EJ Gaines, talk a little Buffalo Sabres after they destroyed the best team in the NHL on the road Saturday night, and of course a little baseball.
