On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran is joined by longtime friend Tone Pucks for the first time in a quite awhile for a conversation focused on the biggest talking points as the Buffalo Bills get ready for Denver in NFL wildcard round playoff action on Sunday. The episode is recorded live from Mooney’s Sports Bar & Grill, 1531 Military Road.

It’s Tone’s first time back on the show since the beginning of September before the Bills regular season started and after a few minutes it becomes obvious his intention is to highjack the show, They jump right into a talk surrounding several talking points and important factors as Buffalo readies for another playoff run-when Pucks is in the mood too.

Among the topics is discussed at length is coming to the realization that if the Bills are truly Super Bowl contenders, fans and the media shouldn’t be TOO concerned about facing a Denver team that while certainly good, hasn’t been to the playoffs since 2015 and features a rookie quarterback, something Sean McDermott has historically feasted on.

That said it would be shortsighted to not have any concerns. The guys talk about why Denver is clearly the best football team the Bills have faced in the wildcard round during the Josh Allen era and elements of the Bills that can be worrisome, such as being heavily reliant on takeaways with the defense and the tough task of taming a pretty ferocious Denver pass rush.

That plus thoughts on McDermott going with Damar Hamlin over Cole Bishop at safety, Matt Milano sitting out the season finale last week, Bills X-factors for the game, a prediction from Tone Pucks and much more.

Big thanks again to Mooney’s Sports Bar & Grill for being a gracious host as well as great food and vibes. Easily one of the best places to go in the Kenmore/Tonawanda area for a good time.
