On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran is joined by friend and recurring guest Anthony Marino from Buffalo Rumblings to discuss day three of the Buffalo Bills/NFL free agency period, or day one if you really want to be technical, with the Bills continuing to add to their depth with another signee not expected to start.
After adding former Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Nicholas Morrow on Tuesday to presumably take on Tyrel Dodson’s role, the Bills dipped their toes into free agency again on Wednesday morning and signed Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Mack Hollins. The six-year pro was with Atlanta last year and had 18 catches in 13 games. He had his best season in 2022 with Vegas, catching 57 passes for 690 yards and four touchdowns. He’s a good run blocker and core special teams player and is likely projected to be this year’s (hopefully improved” version of Trent Sherfield. The guys have their takes on him, including Patrick citing a source that really talks up Hollins as both a good football player and a “good fkn dude.”
Also, there’s rumors of the Bills being tied to recently released defensive tackle Arik Armstead. Could the Bills land a pretty big-name guy to help the interior of the defense?
They also spend time giving their thoughts on some former Bills and their landing spots so far, including Mitch Morse, Gabe Davis, Jordan Poyer and Leonard Floyd.
Also, they highlight what they most like like and dislike about the Bills right now, is Buffalo hoping Cam Lewis can be the 2024 Terrel Bernard, notice that Miami has taken some steps back with personnel and much more.
