On this episode of Talking Buffalo, NFL free agency started and Patrick Moran is joined in studio by friend and recurring guest Tone Pucks to discuss a mostly uneventful start to free agency for the Buffalo Bills but an absolutely wild opener around the league.
We didn’t have to wait long to find the destinations of some key now former Bills—with both Gabe Davis and Mitch Morse landing in Jacksonville and Leonard Floyd going to San Francisco. It’s a reminder that the departures will likely hurt the Bills regardless of how the rest of the offseason plays out.
The Bills did retain two of their own on day one, re-signing Cam Lewis to a two-year deal worth $4 million and defensive end AJ Epenesa to a two-year deal as well that maxes out at $20 million. The guys react to the Bills moves and Patrick admits at least moderate surprise that Epenesa is back.
They also have at least a few thoughts on some of the wildness around the NFL on Monday that saw several star players switch teams, including Christian Wilkins, Kirk Cousins, Saquan Barkley, Josh Jacobs, Tony Pollard, Bryan Huff via free agency in addition to Brian Burns and Carlton Davis in trades.
That plus are the Miami Dolphins already in huge trouble for 2024 and much more.
