On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran is joined by PK from the Buffalo Sports Collective for some instant analysis following the Buffalo Sabres losing at home to Montreal, 3-1 in addition to some (unpleasant) Buffalo Bills talk.

The Sabres outshot Montreal, 37-26 but were too cute if not soft with the puck in the offensive zone. The guys talk about them seemingly unwilling to get the puck in the net and fight for rebounds. They also point out very bad efforts from two of their best players: Alex Tuch and Owen Power. They also hit on the Sabres in danger of falling into a big early season hole—with five of their next seven on the road.

The guys also spend some discussing the Buffalo Bills and conclude that you can put aside any still a top tier team discussion and begin focusing on if the Bills will even make the postseason if some things don’t start changing quickly. One things’ for certain—Sean McDermott’s brand of “complementary football” isn’t working out. How much of the Bills problems falls on coaching?
