On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran is joined by writer and sports media personality Joe Yerdon for their weekly chat, this week focused on the Buffalo Sabres staying alive all the way until the final week of the regular season and their promising progress in addition to some Buffalo Bills and Dyngus Day talk.
The Sabres managed to stay in the thick of the Eastern Conference playoff race and have guaranteed their best season in a decade. While it’s ultimately not enough to get into the postseason there’s a ton of positive things to build on and Joe highlights a few of them, including an underrated/breakout performance from Casey Mittelstadt over the second half of the season.
The NFL draft is still a few weeks ago. Patrick brings up the Bills lack of finding impactful players on day two of the draft under the Brandon Beane regime and why they need to start doing better there if they want to keep up with the Kansas City and Cincinnati’s of the world. That plus a recap of Joe’s recent sports trip to Detroit, Dyngus Day talk and much more.
