It’s Casual Friday on Talking Buffalo Podcast, which means Patrick Moran is joined by Noted Hockey author and Maintenance Day podcaster Joe Yerdon to discuss round of the NFL draft, including the Buffalo Bills trading up two spots to select cornerback Kaiir Elam out of Florida as well as other news from a huge NFL night and the Buffalo Sabres getting shut out in Boston in their second-last game of the season.
Buffalo traded up with Baltimore to take Elam, the fourth cornerback on the board. The guys discuss what they think of the pick and in the end, as it usually goes this time of year, most people overthinking positions when it’s been clear all along cornerback was the biggest need.
The guys also discuss big nights from Detroit and both New York teams before turning their attention to the Sabres, who slept walk in Boston Thursday night. All that and much more.
