It’s Casual Friday on Talking Buffalo Podcast, which means Patrick Moran is joined by sports writer and media personality Joe Yerdon to talk about a variety of topics, including examining the importance of the Buffalo Bills beating Kansas City this Sunday, the Buffalo Sabres roster and lineup starting to take shape, MLB playoffs underway and this week’s “Starting Five” draft of Favorite Bills quarterbacks between Jim Kelly through Josh Allen.
The Bills played arguably their two worst games last season against Kansas City, including the AFC championship one-sided defeat. The guys talk about the need to beat the Chiefs on Sunday and not just for league standing purposes. Another loss to the Chiefs could have this team wondering if they’ll ever beat them, while a victory in prime time could propel Buffalo to new heights of confidence. They also talk about what’s different about this Bills team now versus last year and assess the need for some of their injured players to be ready to go on Sunday.
Meanwhile the Sabres are getting their roster set for the start of the regular season, which begins next week. The guys talk about them appearing to be set at goaltender for now and Casey Mittelstadt likely drawing the No. 1 center spot to begin the 2021-22 campaign.
They also hit on the MLB playoff beginning with the Yankees already out and a draft of favorite Bills quarterbacks sandwiched between Jim Kelly and Josh Allen. All that and much more.
