On this bonus Saturday episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran previews the Buffalo Bills home finale coming up on Sunday against the lowly New York Jets, including three keys to a Bills victory as well as three bold predictions and a final score guess.
The Jets are a season-long disaster at 4-11 and the epitome of what happens when an organization is a mess from the top on down. Buffalo fans who follow the Sabres are very familiar with the consequence. Patrick talks about why the Jets are so bad, starting with an aging, egomaniac quarterback and an offensive line that in part due to injury is about as bad as it gets. This also isn’t the same Jets defense that gave Josh Allen fits in recent years, even when the team overall wasn’t great.
On the Bills side Patrick talks about how the injury report is looking and why it’s so important for Matt Milano to play in these last two games, regardless of what’s at stake for the team overall. Also, is this finally the week Micah Hyde gets a look? It feels like now or never for him.
From there it’s the weekly three keys to a Bills victory and Patrick keeps it simple, highlighting that what’s most important is not give a lifeless team life by sleepwalking at the start like Buffalo did against New England last week. Then it’s bold predictions time, and Patrick is feeling an interception for a reserve defender among other things. He explains why he’s got the Bills winning this game by three scores and plenty more.
Major props to Talking Buffalo sponsor, Sonny Red’s at 1841 Abbott Road in Lackawanna, just minutes from Highmark Stadium. We consider them THE most underrated spot for wings, pizza and other great food in Western New York plus it’s a great place to drink and have a great time.
