It’s Casual Friday on Talking Buffalo Podcast and Patrick Moran is joined by friend and recurring guest Joe Yerdon to discuss some early developments worth noting at Buffalo Bills training camp, Jack Eichel’s frustration at still being a Buffalo Sabres, a “Starting Five” draft of favorite months of the year and much more.

The Bills are a few weeks into training camp right now and even before the three-game preseason starts next week there’s a couple of interesting topics to discuss. One of them is the offensive line depth, which is taken a hit with Covid keeping both Dion Dawkins and Ike Boettger away as well as a shoulder injury to Jon Feliciano. The guys talk about concern with that unit, what if anything they’re looking forward to seeing with the preseason and Pat’s natural concern with the Bills being prohibitive AFC east favorites.
Meanwhile Eichel has yet to be traded and the guys discuss what the frustration level on Eichel’s side probably is by now and if Kevyn Adams is likely to get what he wants by holding off pulling the trigger on a deal. They also touch on the goaltending situation and Joe has thoughts on if Ukko-Pekka Luukhonen should and will realistically be an option to begin this season as the Sabres primary netminder.

Plus, this week’s “Starting Five” consists of favorite months of the year with Joe’s first overall pick having Patrick immediately rattled, a discussion about a few wing places in Western New York, Pat’s attempt at a diet and much more.
