On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran is joined by Matt Warren of SB Nation for their weekly chat, this time focused on several of the biggest keys for the Buffalo Bills as they hit the stretch run of what’s been a successful regular season through this point.
The Bills are 9-2 and for all intents and purposes have already wrapped up the AFC east for a fifth straight season. That’s well and good but this is a football team that has its sights set higher than just winning their division. The guys go over some of the biggest factors that await them in their quest to get over the hump and win an AFC championship.
Some of the topics are quite obviously, especially Josh Allen continuing to play at a MVP level and the team getting some long overdue injury luck deep into the season. But there’s other key factors as well, including Ed Oliver and the defensive tackles continue to ascend as the season goes on, Dalton Kincaid putting up the production we expected before the season started in September, the safety play remaining at least steady and not having a game potentially decided by a kick, even if Tyler Bass did drill a franchise-record 61-yarder to beat Miami a few weeks ago.
They also spend some time examining the AFC, including a discussion on if they’d prefer Buffalo to face Denver or Miami in the first round. Patrick also has an unpopular opinion about the Kansas City Chiefs and much more.
