On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran is joined by PK from the Buffalo Sports Collective to discuss the Sabres opening their 2023-24 regular season with a one-sided loss to the New York Rangers in front of their home Buffalo crowd.

The Sabres were outworked and seemingly every time they made a mistake the puck wound up in their net. The guys talk about opening night jitters for Buffalo, New York’s effective 1-3-1 defense and ability to block numerous power play chances. Also, thoughts on who had their best and worst Sabres debuts.

The guys also talk plenty of Buffalo Bills and things they’re looking to find out going forward now that Matt Milano and DaQuan Jones join Tre White as very likely done for the season with injuries. Those topics include who’ll emerge next to Terrell Bernard at linebacker, can Kaiir Elam take advantage if he even gets any chance, will the tight ends ever get it going before its too late and can the Bills finally get some injury luck on their side.
