On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran is joined for a second time this week by frenemy and recurring guest Joe From Queens for a conversation about some under-the-radar players on the Bills that may end up needing to step up big in addition to the wide receiver room continuing to have more questions than answers.

There’s still time before the regular the season and ultimately what we see during training camp and the preseason may prove to be pointless, but at least the back half of the Bills receiving room has left something to be desired. Injuries and possibly underwhelming play led Brandon Beane to sign two veterans this week (Damiere Byrd and Deon Cain) in addition to reportedly working out Corey Davis, a former fifth overall pick in 2017. The guys discuss what they’re currently thinking at the position, and end up revisiting the Stefon Diggs trade for the 10,000 time.

Also, Injuries happen to key players on teams every season and as a result depth guys need to be prepared to step up. Of course, every player on the 53-man roster could potentially see their role increase due to injuries or other circumstances at any given time, but we’re locking on six players that Patrick can see becoming important role players on the Bills this year if not more. Among them discussed as Joe vaguely pretends to be interested are Alec Anderson, Kaiir Elam, Mack Hollins, Dorian Williams, Cam Lewis and Austin Johnson.

That plus a Browns vs Vikings scrimmaged has Patrick extremely worried, a Patriots trade of Matthew Judon that’s tied to something personal to Patrick and much more.
