Patrick tries his best to give his personal thoughts on the incident and aftermath, using examples from his past to make the sudden fear and horror from Hamlin’s teammates a tiny bit relatable. He also shows gratitude to Cincinnati fans, ESPN (especially Ryan Clark) and fans from around the world that’ve poured in more than seven million dollars for Hamlin’s toy community drive.
It’s a tough episode to get through for both Patrick and maybe you for listening as well. There’s definitely warts in this episode for sure but hopefully the juice is worth the squeeze.
