It’s Casual Friday on Talking Buffalo Podcast, which means Patrick Moran is joined by Noted Hockey author and Maintenance Day podcaster Joe Yerdon to discuss several topics, including a discussion on if they think the “suffering’ of the Buffalo Sabres organization is finally over, Jordan Poyer actively participating in Buffalo Bills mini-camp, Phil Mickelson becoming golf’s big villain and this week’s “Starting Five” draft of Best Robert DeNiro movies.

Back in 2013 then-Sabres general manager said the team and fans would have to endure some suffering.  More than nine years later that’s remained to be true.  However, there feels like light at the end of the tunnel and the guys discuss reasons fans should be optimistic about this team going forward while still pointing out obstacles they have to overcome to be legitimately competitive for a playoff spot.

They also talk about Bills safety Jordan Poyer not just attending Bills mandatory mini-camp despite speculation he may not show up over wanting a new contract, but actively participating in team drills. Does this mean Poyer’s confident something will get done?

That plus the villainizing of Phil Mickelson, the muzzling of The Athletic staff from tweeting politics, their draft of Robert DeNiro movies and much more!
