On this episode of Talking Buffalo Podcast, the first of a special two part episode, four of the best hockey minds in the Buffalo media get together to take part in an All-Time Buffalo Sabres draft, with players from all 50 years of the franchise’s existence eligible to be selected.

The participants are Paul Hamilton from WGR 550, John Vogl of The Athletic, Kris Baker from Sabres Prospects and Chad DeDominicis from Expected Buffalo & Die by the Blade.

The draft was done snake-style and each roster includes 12 forwards, six defensemen, two goaltenders, one head coach and one assistant head coach.  In part one today, the guys selected the forwards and coaches.   Draft order for the forwards went John, Chad, Kris and Paul while coaches went Chad, Kris, Paul and John.

The episode is packed with not just the picks but analysis of the thought process behind them. All four guys attempted to take not just necessarily the best 12 forwards but also the best fit for four lines.
