The Buffalo Sabres played the Columbus Blue Jacket on the road Wednesday night and lost by a score of 5-1. Seth Griffith scored the Sabres only goal which was his first of the season.  Jordan Nolan and Jhonas Larsson picked up the assists on his goal.  Chad Johnson made 33 saves in goal for the Sabres.  This recap is intentionally being “mailed in” because that is exactly what the Sabres did  Wednesday night—mail it in.

Whatever.

MVP: Griffith by default for scoring, I guess.

LVP: When someone can tell me how Sam Reinhart logs over 16 minutes of ice time without registering a shot on net or a hit, I’d love to know the answer.

UP NEXT: The Sabres are off until Saturday when they host the San Jose Sharks.
