On this episode of the Moran-Aytics Podcast presented by Pulse Cellular, Patrick Moran sits down with Buffalo News Executive Sports Editor Josh Barnett for a conversation recently taped in a conference room inside News’ sports department.

The two discuss several topics over the course of roughly a half hour, including steadying the ship at TBN after a tumultuous 2018 that saw massive changes to the sports department. In particular they discuss the job Lance Lyswocki did in his first season covering the Buffalo Sabres beat after transforming from a MLB beat writer in Pittsburgh.

They also geek out a little and talk wrestling, including thoughts on Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks, Seth Rollins, Elias and Lacey Evans, which prompts Barnett to share a few stories from his wrestling journalism background.

The conversation concludes with Moran bringing up Barnett’s appearance at a recent blogger/podcaster meetup in downtown Buffalo and how Barnett’s relationship with people in sports media sails beyond just the mainstream men and women.

After that Moran hooks up with Joe from NYC (@BuffaloWins) for another recurring installment of The Run-in With Joe.  Today the guys dissect a Buffalo Bills Top 100 Player of All-Time list recently compiled by Sal Maiorana of the Democrat & Chronicle, highlighting areas they agree with while each compiling a list of players they feel are ranked either too high, low or not on the list at all.

Joe also brings typical strong takes on how much he hates NFL preseason and oversensitive Bills fans on Twitter hurt over negative articles written about Josh Allen.
