EP 164: NFL Insider Adam Caplan

Caplan, connected to the league and lives near Philadelphia provides fans the rundown on the Eagles problems this year that’ve led to a 3-4 record over seven games and has them desperate for a road victory Sunday. Caplan talks about their depleted secondary, lack of productivity from depth players and a candid assessment of Carson Wentz while also spending time discussing Josh Allen and the “challenged” Buffalo offense while evaluating how legitimate he thinks Buffalo is and what a victory on Sunday would do to further elevate the franchise—and push them to 6-1 this season.

After that Moran is joined by Jeff Boyd of the 716 Sports Podcast for another installment of The Big Boyd Theory. Today the guys are talking Bills and Buffalo Sabres, focusing on the Bills potential issues of covering tight ends and a pass rush that’s been largely lacking this season as well as Philadelphia being the perfect opponent for Josh Allen to finally hit the 300 yards passing in a game threshold.

They also talk some Sabres, including the sustainability of their fast start as well as the enthusiasm their showing under Ralph Krueger, Krueger’s approach to using both goalies early that’s led to Carter Hutton sitting twice following shutouts and what the organization may do once defensemen Brandon Montour returns from injury.

Patrick also goes on a rant over some personal attack comments on Twitter earlier this week following his tweet that stated he personally would prefer a NBA franchise in Buffalo over the Sabres.
